My Cheese Is Wriggling

Sardinia is an island in the Mediterranean Sea. This island has a specialty cheese which is quite unique called "Casu marzu". It is made from sheep milk - and it also includes live maggots!

The maggots are put in the cheese on purpose to help with the flavor and texture. Some people remove the maggots before they eat it...but some people eat the maggots too!
